 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him.  Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:7

There is nothing I want more and more of than faith.  Ok, maybe coffee ice cream, but even with ice cream there is a limit,  and if I get greedy and go over my limit, of course, I get sick.   But, faith is different.  You can never have enough faith, and the more faith you have, the more blessings you have. Proverbs 28:30.  A faithful man shall abound with blessings

Most of all, our salvation is based on faith. Galatians 3:14 says Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith. But, we can’t just receive salvation and then forget to be faithful.  Our faith is our hope and confidence in God and in his word.   And,  it is by reading and pondering God’s word and applying it to our lives that we increase our faith, our hope,  and our confidence.

A Shipwrecked Faith  This verse should give one pause.  Having your faith shipwrecked is a scary thought.   And, shipwrecks often occur without warning.
